Transferring Programs & Functions to Another Calculator

on the TI-89



It can be an enormous convenience to transfer functions and programs from one TI-89 calculator to another - instead of laboriously typing them. It's easy!

Connect the sending and receiving calculators with the short, black cable that comes with the calculator.

On the sending calculator, bring up the VAR-LINK screen by pressing 2nd key "-" key. Then select all programs and/or functions that you want to transfer by highlighting their names and pressing F4.

On the sending calculator, press F3 for the Link menu, then select "1: Send to TI-89/92".

On the receiving calculator, press F3 for the Link menu, then select "2: Receive". The transfer should occur.
