Student Expectations

All students have an absolute right to learn and the teacher has an absolute right to teach - without interference or disturbance of any kind.

All students are expected to:

... follow directions the first time they are given.
... raise their hand to be recognized before speaking in classroom situations and talk quietly with their group members in laboratory situations.
... stay in their assigned seats or laboratory areas.
... be courteous and considerate of others. No swearing, foul language, or put-downs.
... treat the personal property of others, as well as school property, with care and respect.

Students who choose to disregard these expectations will receive:

1 detention + call parents

Third

2 detentions + call parents

Fourth

referred to Associate Principal for action + parent conference

* Severe violations, such as fighting, extreme class disruption, defiance, etc. will be referred to the Associate Principal immediately for disciplinary action. A parent conference will be held before the student will be readmitted to class.
