Even though I thought my hair was fine I went to get a haircut! BAD idea! I went to the barbershop on a skateboard. I skated into Telles' Barbershop, shaking at my furry knees. Sitting down, I looked at the line sitting on the bench before me, which was like, a hundred people! The magazines on the table were old. Just then I heard a scream from one of the customers. I saw someone in a blur with a badly shaven head."Next!"yelled the barber near the kid's chair. Suddenly, I realized it was my turn. I got on. Soon I heard a buzzing sound, and I flipped out of the chair! Soon the whole store was in chaos. Hair dye, combs, and clippers went flying! I felt the barber sneak up from behind me and work on my hair. Then, she came in. The Bulldog- pop star had deep black eyes, an earring, blue fur, a pink mohawk, and a yellow zigzag tail. The commotion died down and she sat next to me. I started to drool at the sight of the dog. Then she giggled,, "You gettin' the same cut as me? "What?" I ran to the bathroom. AH! I had a blue Mohawk! I sulked out of the shop, wondering if I'd ever meet that pop star dog. Then I heard that voice, of the pop star. "Sing" she said. I sang a line from my favorite commercial song: "Bacon Bites for Bulldogs""You're perfect! Would you like to sing at my next concert?" "Sure!" She grabbed her skateboard and we drove off. Even a dog needs a good haircut! I was still nervous though when I saw the clippers. I saw the barber with the clippers in his hand and flew across the room! I landed in the sink with a person's head still in it! I heard blood-curdling shrieks all over the store! I didn't know that the whole scene had been broadcasted on live television! The whole town was in chaos! Cars were thrown all over the street! Suddenly, all of the madness had stopped. I looked over and saw Angelina Jolie, coming out of her limo, walking toward Telles'. Now I know the reason for the chaos and the broadcast! She looked around and stared back at me. She had a puzzled look on her face. Apparently, she came here to see me. She picked me up and walked me back to her limo. I got to star in the movie, Lora Croft Tomb Raider 3! After we got finished producing the movie, she took me back to Telles'. It wasn't really that fun, but I had a good time. By Maurissa, grade 5

Today Buddy is on a journey of self-discovery, for he is getting his haircut. We were walking by trying to find a barbershop and decided to try Telles' Barbershop. We went inside and saw 5 people waiting, it seamed like a good place so we stuck around. Buddy was a little nervous though. Then Mr. Telles walked in, but Buddy only stared at the scissors! Then Mr. Telles said, "Well who's this little guy?" "That's Buddy and he's here to get a haircut." "Well you're in luck, we're having a dog special." said Mr. Telles. We didn't know Buddy was shaking like a leaf. Mr. Telles put Buddy on the stand, put the shirt on him, and started cutting. "All done," said Mr. Telles. Buddy looked in the mirror and saw he looked great. Buddy was satisfied and we got a good price too! By Jon, grade 5 |

Even a dog needs a good haircut! I was nervous though when I saw the clippers. One day Buddy the Bulldog wanted to get a hair cut because spring was coming soon and he wanted to stay as cool as possible. When he got in the barbershop he saw lots of people in Telles' already. So he had to wait a while. When it was time for him to get his haircut he was too small to fit in the adult chair, so they had to put him in the booster chair. When Mr. Telles started up the clippers somebody walked in dressed like a bone. I thought this was strange since it was not even close to Halloween. They must be going to a costume party. Either way, just one glance was all it took for Buddy to start drooling! Mr.Telles was really close to him with the clippers now so when Buddy jumped down to check out the bone, it surprised Mr. Telles ant the clippers left a big long shave down his back. Buddy was so mad eventhough it was his own fault for daydreaming about the bone. Still, the stress made him needing to relax so he went next door and got a travel guide to Hawaii. Then he went over to Snikkers and Peanuts and got a big ice cream cone. After he calmed down, he went back and got the rest of his fur evened out and kept his eyes shut so nothing strange could happen again! Even a dog needs a good cut! I was so nervous when I saw those clippers. Those darn clippers looked like they could kill! I was waiting for my turn. I dreaded the time when I was going to have to climb up onto that big chair The book that I brought to read while I waited for my turn was The Littlest Elf. The book was really good. It was about a little elf that gets into a lot of mischief. Then, it was my turn! I was going to have to climb up onto that big chair that would surely end my life. What should I do? Should I run for the hills, or die? It was a " lose-lose"situation. Suddenly a fight broke out between the barber and an elderly man with an afro. I was afraid for the elderly man because of course he was elderly. I jumped onto the barber's back to get him off of the old man. The next thing that happened was I woke up in the hospital. I told the doctor that I didn't know what had happened. Then my wife came in! She was sure mad. "You are an immature jerk. Why didn't you help the barber?" She asked. I said, "I wanted to help the elderly man because he was old." Then my wife said,"Now you are going to be arrested for battery and assault(without the possibility of parole), and so is the barber and the old man!" When I got out of the hospital I was thrown in jail. I spent the rest of my life in jail. It was a cruel and inhumane form of punishment. So learn from my mistake, and don't beat up a barber! I was getting a little long-furred, but even at the barbershop, I'm scared of scissors.
When I got there, the barber put me in the little kid's chair. He pulled out, to my surprise, a razor, not scissors. Those scare me more! Then he started shaving me bald!
A movie star walked in when I was almost completely bald. Her head was a sight to see. She had a bright blue moehawk, with streaks of electric yellow. She sat down on the waiting bench with an out-dated magazine called, "Country Home Cookin'". Yeah, sounded weird to me too. But get this. She reads it for 2 hours! And this was from the 1800's!
When I was done, I looked in the restroom mirror and screamed. It looked like a lawn-mower ran over my head! A lawn mower did run over my head. I walked back to the waiting room, pondering how I would hide this horrible do. The movie star leaned down to me and said, "You may be bald, but I think I can hide it. You're perfect for a job we need!"
Surprisingly, I think I look good with an Afro made of silly string. You can see me in the new movie,"70's in the City" with my good friend, Robin Bobbins. She got a new hair do for the movie. It's a bright green beehive with something sticking out of it all the time. Normally a bird, but sometimes, fake fruit is sometimes found in it. Well, I guess going to a barbershop never is really bad, even when you get a terrible haircut. I'm off to rehearsal!

Even a dog needs a good cut! I was still nervous though when I saw the clippers!
Mr.Telles was just getting ready to cut my hair when I saw the clippers. As I sat down the scissors were glistening in the sun. When he started, I jumped out of the chair and grabbed the scissors and cut his hair instead! I ran to the bathroom, and he was yelling because he was bald! Why did he have to try to cut my hair? He would still have his if he hadn't. I know I need a cut but I like my hair the way it is.
When I came out of the bathroom he was talking with Alex, the most famous actress! When she noticed me she said, "That's such a cute dog!"
"Thanks!", I replied.
"What type of cut do you want?, asked Mr. Telles.
"Well I was thinking just a few inches cut off,", replied Alex.
After Mr.Telles was done, Alex persuaded me to get my hair cut. I left with a new cut and a new owner. Alex thought I was such a cute dog she adopted me.
