BPS School Counseling Mission Statement

I will assist BPS staff, parents and children with promoting high student achievement and a safe learning environment by providing services which support the school's efforts to help our students improve our children socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. Services include: providing classroom guidance, individual counseling, conflict mediation and resolution, and working with individual students to address areas of concern.

The mission of the BPS professional school counselor is to assist students, school personnel, parents and community in promoting highest student achievement and a safe learning environment. I will assist students to become responsible and knowledgeable individuals, problem solvers, self directed learners, effective communicators and collaborative team workers.

Along with my counseling responsibilities, I enjoy coaching basketball and cross country at Batesville Middle School.

You are learning about who you are and where you fit. Sometimes it can be pretty confusing. There are many people who care about you and want to help; a school counselor is just one of those people. ExtraCurricular Coaching Activities:

I coach two middle school sports. I also am the Co-Director of a summer camp for children who are experiencing academic, behavior, or emotional problems that are interfering with school success.
