Standard Operating Procedures for Discipline at Batesville Primary School

At BPS, we have a consistent discipline plan for the entire school. We use a card system to track our daily consequences which may occur in and out of the classroom.

Daily Consequences

• All students begin each day with a Green Card
• First Offense -- Warning (Yellow Card)
• Second Offense -- Miss five (5) minutes of recess (Pink Card)
• Third Offense -- Miss one noon recess in the behavior improvement room and complete a behavior plan to be taken home or other activity to discuss / review the reason for being in the behavior room and have it signed by a parent and returned. (Red Card)
• Fourth Offense -- Phone a parent to explain prior offenses and that the next step is an after school detention. If a child uses foul language or physically harms another, it will be an automatic red card and parent phone call.
