Checking Your Quiz

Before you publish your quiz on the web, be sure that it works!

Be sure that the question file loads correctly and that your default colors are readable. Be sure that all necessary buttons are visible.

It is very important that you go through each question to be sure that it loads correctly and that there are no formatting errors. If AppletQuiz finds a problem, it will open a red error window, with a brief (and hopefully helpful) description of what the problem is, and where the error occurred.

The Dreaded "Error Box"! -

Errors must be fixed before the quiz will run!

If there is a problem in loading your question file or in formatting a question, you will need to fix it before AppletQuiz can run your quiz. Unfortunately, I can't fix your question files for you, but if you are really stuck, email me, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Of course, you also need to be sure that the height and width applet parameters are sufficient to allow all of your questions to display. The height and width requirements vary from quiz to quiz, depending on the number and size of graphics, the font and text size, as well as the length of your questions.
