Transferring Programs & Functions to Another Calculator

on the TI-89

It can be an enormous convenience to transfer functions and programs from one TI-89 calculator to another - instead of laboriously typing them. It's easy!

Connect the sending and receiving calculators with the short, black cable that comes with the calculator.
On the *sending* calculator, bring up the VAR-LINK screen by pressing . Then select all programs and/or functions that you want to transfer by highlighting their names and pressing .
On the *sending* calculator, press for the Link menu, then select "1: Send to TI-89/92".
On the *receiving* calculator, press for the Link menu, then select "2: Receive". The transfer should occur.
