Creating a Force:
To apply a force to an object in Interactive Physics:
- Select the Force tool ()
from the tool bar.
- Click the mouse at the location where you want the force
applied. This is probably the center of mass of an object.
- Drag the mouse away from the application force in the
direction opposite the direction that you want the force to
act.
- Release the mouse.
Adjusting a Force:
For
coarse adjustments, you can drag the force with the mouse to adjust
its magnitude and direction. For fine adjustments, use the Properties
Window. Here, you can type the force's x- and y-components (Fx, Fy)
if "Cartesian" is selected, or the force's magnitude and direction
(|F|, )
if "Polar" is checked.
